My message is short and sweet this go around. This past month has been a roller-coaster. A new, 15-credit semester beginning at school, the entire family becoming deathly ill, and some trials within the extended family all culminated making for a real mess of a new year. I didn’t want to go to school or work. I didn’t want to blog or read. I didn’t really want to do anything. I had been flying pretty close to the sun for a while there and I realized I was being humbled.
But despite the hardships and difficulties, I enter February a grateful man, realizing that my trials pale in comparison to some of my friends and family members. In fact, I feel guilty for the way I have been wallowing. I have a loving wife, a beautiful daughter, and wonderful family and friends. I have a clean, warm home and a comfortable bed and I do not go hungry or thirsty. I am now even back to full health, and feel better than I have in a while. Sometimes it takes a mediocre month to help you remember how good you have it on a regular basis.
Also, I have been working on a pretty heavy blog post and I am excited to share it with everyone, and it’s just a matter of finding the time to finish it right now so stay tuned!
In the meantime, here are weeks 14-18
