Samson: Weeks 14-18 (feat Raffi)

Holy smokes.

My message is short and sweet this go around. This past month has been a roller-coaster. A new, 15-credit semester beginning at school, the entire family becoming deathly ill, and some trials within the extended family all culminated making for a real mess of a new year. I didn’t want to go to school or work. I didn’t want to blog or read. I didn’t really want to do anything. I had been flying pretty close to the sun for a while there and I realized I was being humbled.

But despite the hardships and difficulties,  I enter February a grateful man, realizing that my trials pale in comparison to some of my friends and family members. In fact, I feel guilty for the way I have been wallowing. I have a loving wife, a beautiful daughter, and wonderful family and friends. I have a clean, warm home and a comfortable bed and I do not go hungry or thirsty. I am now even back to full health, and feel better than I have in a while. Sometimes it takes a mediocre month to help you remember how good you have it on a regular basis.

Also, I have been working on a pretty heavy blog post and I am excited to share it with everyone, and it’s just a matter of finding the time to finish it right now so stay tuned!

In the meantime, here are weeks 14-18

I figured I would switch up all the stoic pictures for a change. I am ok with it.
Good old Raffi had to sub in for me on Week 15. If you don’t know who Raffi is, look him up. He is awesome. Raffi is here because I came down with a sinus infection and the flu at the same time and subsequently gave it all to my poor wife and baby daughter. They ended up having it worse than me, so I can’t complain. Also, no picture that week.
As you can see, the bangs are really starting to come in. This is when it starts getting fun!
The “day after inauguration” face.
I might have to start taking pictures of my profile to capture the full glory of the beard.
